Black Sabbath live at Ozzfest Post-Sabbath, Ozzy became a solo superstar, while Sabbath’s name – after the initial post-Ozzy purple patch – slowly began to lose weight.

I think Never Say Die is Black Sabbath’s best album from the Ozzy era and might have even been better if they had completed it with Ozzy. Never Say Die, Sabotage and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath are musically their most sophistocated and technical albums. Listen to the jazzy parts on Air Dance.

This was their last album together. They stayed in an appt. hotel just down the street from the Gasworks, t was a very big rock bar band in Toronto in the 70's! Rush did one of their first gigs there, many others, anyways the point is they were in the bar just about every day having a beer and listing to the Toronto bar bands and checking out.

Never Say Die is the eighth and final full studio album to be recorded by the original Black Sabbath, a title that it will likely never lose given the members’ ages and current relationship. Ozzy Osbourne had already quit the band at this point; Tony Iommi somehow wrangled him back for a final album and tour, which despite what Sabbath’s Number One Fan will tell you, was most notable as.
