   Jan 10,  · The Sinceros took many of the songs they recorded for 2nd Debut, gave them a face lift, threw in a few others and released Pet Rock in Pet Rock has become one of my favorite albums of all time, and one that I consider absolutely essential for any fan of power pop or new wave. The album kicks off with a trio of insanely catchy songs.

   The sound of the CD is good but not great. I A/B'd the CD against the album. The album sounds quieter but "warmer"; the CD sounds clear, loud and a bit harsh to me. Of the 2 Sinceros vinyl Lp's, this was the better album by far. In my opinion, the first album ("The Sound of Sunbathing") had some very catchy songs but the rest sounded like filler/5(15).

   The Sinceros (Mark Kjeldsen, Ron Francois, Don Snow & Bobby Irwin) were a new wave/power pop band from London, England who recorded two albums for Epic Records, The Sound of Sunbathing () and Pet Rock ().They were also Carlene Carter's band and recorded with Lene exuninivtweedanopdelcomppuncstanin.xyzinfo first album, The Sound of Sunbathing, was produced by Joe Wissert and recorded at Wessex Studios .
