Jul 31, - My favorite band who sings melodies and harmonies I am not usually able to sing in such manner. I envy having to make such songs, but can only listen to them and to hear them as they are beyond my manner of music. See more ideas about Steely dan albums, Songs, Music pins.

"Two Against Nature" was released in and was Steely Dan's first album in 20 years. It sounds like Steely Dan, but that touch of genius their records had in the s is missing. It still won four Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. I bought Pretzel Logic in and Steely Dan was one of my favorite s bands/5().

Apr 25,  · Part of the reason that the bass sounds fatter on the original LP is because of the mild compression used. The same goes for the original CD as it used the same tape. Said compression does give this album some extra kick. There's nothing wrong with that. It could be legitimately argued that Aja needs said compression to bring it to life.

Aja, Steely Dan s sixth studio opus, is yet another testament to Walter Becker and Donald Fagen s quest for sonic perfection. Such was the quality of the record that it has often been used to demonstrate the audio fidelity for stereo systems, and winning the Grammy Award for Best Engineered Non-Classical Recording.
