The Weirdos were the first great band to emerge from the L.A. punk scene, but while they were local heroes, they weren't able to score the elusive record deal that passed by nearly every worthy band on the original West Coast scene (except the Dickies), and it's hard not to get misty-eyed about the Weirdos album that could have exuninivtweedanopdelcomppuncstanin.xyzinfo collection of demos and previously released tracks from Brand: Bomp Records.

Ten of the 16 tracks, indeed, were previously unreleased; also tacked on are the late-'70s singles "We Got the Neutron Bomb" and "Destroy All Music," "Skateboards to Hell" (the B-side of a Denney Brothers single), "Hey Big Oil" (from the Denney Brothers' LP), and two songs from the Weirdos LP Condor.

Denovali release Feed the Tape on digipak CD and g double vinyl LP. Hentschel draws on minimal classical music, dark ambient and middle-age vocal forms to create something extremely distinctive. Here, repetitive, barely-present drones can be suddenly replaced with pounding industrial drums.
