    – Oddisee “Only one track on Rock Creek Park features vocals: Opener “Still Doing It,” which has a verse from fellow Diamond District member yU. After that, it’s all impressionistic drum-ripples and dizzy soul strings. There are samples in there, but Oddisee also used live-band arrangements.

Amir Mohamed aka Oddisee’s Rock Creek Park is all of the above, serving as a flawless soundtrack for the historic Washington, D.C. park and a moving blueprint for other producers to follow.

Rock Creek Park doesn't demand your attention greatly when listening to it, which i think is its greatest advantage. Definitely worth a listen, will be the soundtrack to my summer! Stand out tracks: The Carter Barron, Beach Dr, Uptown Cabaret/5(18).

For his new album, Oddisee is taking us to Rock Creek Park. An album tributed to the local park where he grew up. The park was important to Oddisee in all kinds of stages in his life and he is trying to bring that in sound. I understand his idea behind the album, but I'm not really sure if I really get all of his intentions on this album.
